Hello there! Welcome to the world of POKEMON!

For many of us these were the words that started the long journey through this incredible franchise.
Times have changed, but Pokemon has stayed as a constant presence in our lives, with its highs and lows, getting bigger and bigger; a new generation of trainers has started a similar journey and this is where we'd like to step in, passing the metaphorical torch to them.
This project aims to be a gift, made of knowledge, experience and shared stories -maybe a little exaggerated or wild- from the old generation to the new one, and to all those who missed out on the "golden days" in the late 90's and early 2000's.
And, to be honest, it's also meant to be a love letter to these amazing creatures that have accompanied us for almost 30 years now.
To the old and the young:
may the journey be long still, and may we always find our people when eyes meet by chance.

ABOUT

Q: What's this project about?Back In Our Day is a collaborative project themed around the old generations of Pokemon and the "veterans", halfway between a guidebook, a magazine and a group journal, specifically aimed to collect knowledge, stories, rumors and facts from the early days of the franchise, and to share it with the younger trainers and the trainers of tomorrow..Q: What do you consider "old days" material? As of now our idea is to have two sections within the project: the "old retro" section will cover content from the first two generations (1996-2002), while the "new retro" section will cover anything from the third and fourth generation (2002-2009). These will include games from the main line, spin-offs, TCG, anime and more.
Please note that this could change based on the results of the Interest Check!
.Q: What's the project's format? The final product will be available only in digital format, plus some extra digital merchandise, and as a pay-what-you-want, for charity project.
The charity organization will be selected through vote by the participants, but it'll be an organization centered around children and/or videogames.
.Q: How about contributors?
We'll be accepting applications for Writers, Page Artists, Spot Artists, Merch Artists, and Researchers. There's no set number of people for any of the roles, but there will be a selection as we'd like to keep a certain threshold of both quality and accuracy of the project's content, and to avoid overworking the moderation team.
Please note that this is a volounteer based project, and there's no planned compensation for any of the participants besides a digital copy of all products.
